The term Quoin refers to a large, slightly projecting stone that often form the corners of the exterior walls of masonry buildings. In the context of architecture, Quoin is an exterior angle of a wall and the large sized stones used in forming such an angle are dressed or arranged so as to form a decorative contrast with the adjoining walls.
