Quilts Definition

The term Quilts refers to a cover for a bed or a blanket usually made out of pieces of materials, which includes a bottom piece, a top piece and filler. Quilts are pieced together from several layers of cloth by stitches or ties. In the making of Quilts, the key decorative element is probably the pattern of stitching, and with regard top which is "pieced" from a mix of smaller fabric pieces, the pattern and color of the pieces plays vital role. There are different styles of quilts. Amish quilt is an example, one created by the Amish before 1940 that is typically simple in pattern and made with solid dark colors and have antique value. Quilts have cultural importance in many places and times and those are also nowadays treated as a visual art form.
