Pyrotechnics Definition

The term Pyrotechnics means "measured fires". It refers to the skill of manufacturing or setting off fireworks. A person proficient in this field is known as a pyrotechnist. It also refers to a display of fireworks or a brilliant display or intelligence in the arts. It also refers to an artistic form of auditory communication in music which incorporates instrumental or vocal tones in a structured and continuous manner. James Abbott McNeil Whistler (1834-1903), an American artist was known for visual pyrotechnics in his paintings.
