Plop Art Definition

The word plop art is a term coined by Americans to refer to an artwork that belongs to a public art community. It is large and abstract and may or may not be appealing to the viewers. It is a slang used to refer public artworks like government institutions, corporate spaces, front office structure, parks and museums. The inappropriate or unsuitable appearance in the wrong place or wrong surrounding gives it the name plop art. Such art works usually does not go with the surroundings or location.
