Northern Renaissance Art was produced during the first half of 16th century in countries in the northern side of Italy. The 15th century Gothic Dutch painting is included in northern renaissance art as a result of its interest in some features of realism. Madonna and Child, which is carved in linden wood, Virgin Mary with the Protective Cloak, The Seven Sorrows of the Virgin etc are few examples of Northern Renaissance Art.
