Eshi is a term related to the Japanese art tradition. Eshi is an individual who engaged in art related paintings in Japan 
According to this tradition, there were three persons involved in traditional Japanese woodblock print production technique: Eshi, Horishi, and Surishi. All three persons worked together to get the final product. Eshi was the artist to draw pictures/paintings.
