Erphila Definition

Erphila is a mark that was seen used on Czechoslovakian porcelain and pottery and other porcelain and pottery ware made after 1920. The mark was  was used by Ebeling & Reuss, Philadelphia on potteries, porcelain and earthen ware imported from Czechoslovakia. The name "Erphila" came from the first letters of their names E and R (Ebeling & Reuss) and the first part of the city (Phila)delphia. A variety of Erphila vases, pitchers, figurines, and dinner wares in vivid colors are seen in the antique industry. In 2002, the company was sold to Strathmore Corp. Of Allentown, Pennsylvania and is still working.
