In technical drawing, cross section is an illustration technique in which six pictures of an object is produced and each projection plane is kept parallel to coordinate axes of the object. Across section generally means a cut through a coaxial cable perpendicular to its axis. A tree’s growth ring is a well-known example of cross section. It is the view of an object’s internal structure represented by a cut of an object by an intersecting plane.
