Anima Definition

The term Anima refers to the unconscious or true inner self of a person, in contrast to the personality or outer characteristic of the personality. Per the analytic psychology of C. G. Jung commonly referred to as Jungian psychology, anima is a person’s true inner self that reflects archetypal ideals of conduct. Additionally, the term also refers to the feminine inner personality in the unconscious mind of a male.
