Anhydrous Definition

The term Anhydrous refers to any substance that is waterless. It may be a chemical compound after removing all water from it. In the context of art, an anhydrous substance may be used as a protective coating on a surface or as an element of a non-aqueous formulation, such as paint for antimicrobial protection to a surface. In addition, artists use anhydrous glue to preserve art work.
