These are then braided, knotted, looped or woven to make cloth that are then used for clothing or soft furnishings. Felt, yarn, fabric, and the finished product that may be a cloth or a decorative piece together are referred as Textile.
In relation to Art, any art on textile for decorative effect is referred as Textile. Any fabric based craft made by using animal, plant or synthetic fibers to create a decorative object that is not for practical use is also known as Textile art.
