Talisman is an object worn as a charm or good luck to ward off evil. The object may be a medallion, pendant, ring or stone engraved with symbols or texts believed to have magical powers. Ancient or medieval age signs, symbols or texts will be the inscriptions. Wearer of the object will have supernatural powers. The word “Talisman” is originated from the Greek word telesma, meaning "rite."
