Slot Machine Definition

Gustav Schultze of San Francisco is considered to be the person who invented slot – machine. His Horseshoe game (1893) was improved upon by his friend Charles Fey. A breakthrough came with Fey’s invention of 4-11-44 game in 1895. It was followed by Card Bell and Liberty Bell. It is interesting to note that cash payouts were banned in San Francisco from the beginning. Slot machines were banned altogether in California 1911. Silent line of gooseneck machines and Bell machines by Mills, Club Special by Jenkins and All Star Comet Bell by Pace are among famous antique slot machines.
