Royal Haeger Definition

David H. Haeger was the founder of Haeger Potteries. It was founded in 1871 and was originally known as the Dundee Brickyard. Haeger Potteries’ first artware collection was introduced in 1914. Mr. Royal Hickman was a designer at Haeger potteries. He designed a different line of artware known as ‘Royal Haeger’. The word ‘Royal’ is used in the marks in Mr. Hickman’s honor. In 1976, Haeger Potteries produced the largest hand thrown vase and entered the Guinness Book of Records. The factory is still in existence and makes fine ceramic and artware.
