Royal Flemish Definition

Royal Flemish was a kind of art glass produced by Mt. Washington Glass Works in Massachusetts. Royal Flemish pieces mostly had dark colors and gold designs. The glass was supposed to look like stained glass. It was patented in 1894. Royal Flemish glass was considered to be a top line glass. The pieces are mostly not marked. Royal Flemish pitchers and vases are popular collectibles.
