Rose Medallion Definition

Rose Medallion, in the context of antique, means unique Chinese porcelain that were manufactured during the 19th and 20th centuries. Most pieces of Rose Medallion often have a central medallion that features a bird or a peony in the center. Four or five alternating panels decorated with patterns that include people, insects, birds, and flowers in pink, green, and other attractive colors cover Rose Medallion wares. Number of panels vary depending upon the size of the porcelain ware. Rose Medallion bottles, bowls, cadogan, dish, fruit basket, jardiniere, punch bowl, teapot, etc. which are colored in pastel pinks greens. red, blue, yellow and gold are found in the antique market.
