Those objects that are owned by a museum. Those works in a collection of a museum or gallery which are owned by the institution as distinct from loans and deposits
Permanent collection means the objects or pieces of art that is collected and owned by a museum. The objects so collected will be kept in galleries or show cases and are regarded as assets of museum. Such permanent collection owned by museum collects only those objects of specific categories which are of distinguished quality and are rare or of historical significance.
