Neolithic Definition

Neolithic refers to the New Stone Age period. The Neolithic period and culture vary with the geographic location. The earliest Neolithic culture was developed in South West Asia from 9000 to 6000 BC. During this period people started living in settled villages, started agriculture, rearing of animals, pottery making, weaving and spinning. Later urban civilization evolved from this culure. The Neolithic culture of Mesoamerica later led to Aztec and Inca civilizations.
