Minimalism refers to the art movement originated in New York in 1960s. The minimalist artists used simple geometric forms in the art works. They used basic shapes and primary colors in sculpture and painting. Objectivity and anonymity are two other attributes of minimalism. The minimalist art movement is also known as ABC art and rejective art.
