Liverpool Definition

The term Liverpool in the context of antiques refers to the pottery made in England. Pottery and porcelain factories were common in Liverpool since 18th century. Two of the famous factories include Sadler and Green which made print-decorated wares and Herculanum Pottery which made porcelain and earthenware between 1794 and 1841. The wares were mostly made for American market and had patriotic emblems.
