Lead Tin Yellow Definition

Lead Tin Yellow is an opaque yellow containing lead-oxide.  It is referred to as massicot in European manuscripts and giallolino or giallorino in Italian manuscripts. Lead Tin Yellow had been in used from 13th century till 16th century. Belshazzar's Feast by Rembrandt and A Lady Writing by Johannes Vermeer are classic examples of Lead Tin Yellow in paintings.
