Holography Definition

Holography refers to the study and production of holograms. Holography creates a three dimensional image of an object by recording the same on a photographic film. During the process, the pattern of interference is created by a split laser beam, subsequent to which the pattern is illuminated with a laser or ordinary light. The final product is termed as hologram which is also known as holograph. The surrealist artist, Salvador Dali had made use of holography in art exhibitions held in 1968 and 1970.  Dali hung the holographic objects with wires to achieve difference in depth.
