Heddle Definition

Heddle is an essential part of a loom. Heddle is used to raise warps for making a space through which the weft thread passes easily. A heddle is usually made up of a cord or wire which is suspended on the shaft of a loom. Additionally, each heddle possesses an eye in the centre through which the warp is threaded.
