Dry Mount Definition

Dry mount is a framing/mounting technique. It is used to mount any water sensitive art work (for example, posters, photos etc) to a firm backboard/foam board or any other flat and firm board by applying a uniform coat of dry tissue adhesive between the art work  and board and applying high temperature and uniform pressure. Dry mounts may leave bubbles which may lead to premature aging of art work.
