Darkness Definition

Generally, the term ‘darkness’ refers to the degree of less light. But in the context of art, darkness refers to the degree of low lightness and saturation possessed by a color and which reflects a minor fraction of incident light. Normally, a dark color is prepared by blending large amount of black with less or zero amount of one or more shades.
