Curator Definition

The word curator is derived from the Latin word 'curare' which means to take care. A curator can be a manager or an overseer and may be appointed to keep a cultural heritage institution. Such keeper will be responsible for any collections related to that heritage site. A curator may associate themselves with the community members to determine the community interest and needs.
