A Cluster pier refers to a reinforced concrete or masonry in bulk which supports a large structure comprised of numerous shafts that are grouped together. A Cluster pier is usually spotted in and around a huge shaft or core. It is a common feature of Gothic architecture providing support for arches in the nave arcade.
