Chinese Export Definition

In relation to antiques, Chinese export are those antique items that are exported from China. As per Chinese law, antiques that are bought or given as gifts in China cannot be exported without the prior declaration to Customs. In China, items or articles that are pre-1795 are not exportable. A relic certificate is essential to export items from pre-1979. A relic certificate is issued after conducting a relic inspection on individual items by a customs officer. To be legal, Chinese export antiques should have an assessment and export permit authorized by the Committee of Cultural Relics Administration in the provincial level.
