Cella Definition
Cella is defined as the main body or sanctuary of ancient Roman or Greek temples. The God or Goddess usually stood in the cella. It was usually hidden and modern buildings also used this architecture. In Byzantine architecture, cella is defined as the inner portion of the church where the liturgy is conducted.
