Candlesticks Definition

Candlesticks are long and thin holder for one or more candles. It is made from glass, brass, pewter, sterling silver, plated silver, and all types of pottery and porcelain. Candlesticks from the sixteenth century held the candle on a pricket or a sharp pointed spike. However, socket was mandated when they became formidable weapons.  Their style varied through the centuries, the designs range from Classic to Rococo to Art Nouveau to Art Deco.
