Burmese Glass Definition

Burmese glass refers to glass ware originally developed and patented by Frederick Shirley in 1885 and used by Mt. Washington Glass Works in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The two toned glass had shades from yellow to salmon pink. Some pieces were decorated by glass flowers or beads. The Burmese glass ware incudes birdie bowls, condiment set, cruets and ewers.
