Bleed Marks Definition

The term Bleed Marks refer to the lines on the edges of an artwork which is to be reproduced. The term bleed refers to the area which is to be trimmed off and the Bleed Marks identifies the point beyond which should be treated as bleed area. Artwork and the colors can extend to the bleed area. The bleed area ensures that no unprinted sides occur in the file after trimming.
