Adsorption Definition

Adsorption refers to a molecular bond when a thin coat of a substance firmly sticks to another just like it is pasted to it. Adsorption generally occurs with gelatinous substances and with totally clean receiving surface. Adsorbed layer strongly fixed to a receiving surface can be detached only with the help of a strong abrasion. Lithography is an example for the occurrence of adsorption.
