Zoopraxiscope Definition

Zoopraxiscope is an early device used as a moving-picture projector. Eadweard Muybridge (English-American, 1830-1904) invented Zoopraxiscope in 1879. The images used in Zoopraxiscope were either drawings or photographs. In Zoopraxiscope the motion effect to the images were produced by rotating glass disks rapidly in sequence.
