Viscosity Definition

Viscosity refers to the thickness of a liquid/paint. The viscosity of paint becomes higher when it gets thicker and relatively lower when the liquid gets thinner. We can reduce the viscosity of oil-paints by adding binder such as linseed oil or solvent such as turpentine. Paints with lower viscosity help an artist to paint on canvasses freely and quickly.
