Toothbrush Holders Definition

Toothbrush holders refer to a device, usually a container or a frame, used for putting toothbrushes in place when not in use. They were used widely used in the late nineteenth century. It comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. These holders are made of wood, metals, like nickel, brass, copper, tin, and with the advent of plastics with plastics. The toothbrush manufacturers began to make toothbrush holder’s for children in 1920s. These were shaped like animals or cartoon characters. In 1925, the first U.S patent for a toothbrush holder was issued to Immanuel Speidel.
