Shearwater Definition

Shearwater, in the context of Antiques refer to the pottery produced by the family business established by the late Peter Anderson , in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, in 1928. His brothers also joined the business later and they were inspired by their parents. The pottery was produced using local clay mix and the series include fort pirates, nine base ball players, “Oldfields series” and other figurines. Though the factory was destroyed in 2005 by hurricane Katrina, it was rebuilt and still in business.
