Pearl Definition

Pearl is a hard substance formed inside the shell of an oyster or mollusc which is lustrous and spherical in shape. Pearls are considered to be highly expensive and may be either grey or white in colour. Pearls are mainly used for making expensive jewellery sets. Pearls in its natural form may be used for furniture decoration and for decorations in other daily use objects. Pearl jewelleries are regarded as a mark of royalty and exclusive pearl pieces are featured as symbol of status and luxury.
