Muse, in Greek mythology refers to the nine daughters of Zeus who presided different branches of science and art. The nine muses were Calliope, Clio, Erato, Euterpe, Melpomene, Polyhymnia, Terpsichore, Thalia, and Urania. In the modern context, the term muse refers to a person who inspires an artist.
