Jump cut is a technique used in film editing which result in abrupt break of a scene. The result will be the absence of matching between two scenes. Jump cut makes a transition in time and space. Jump cut has been widely used by Jean-Luc Godard who is regarded as the best exponent of this technique, beginning with ‘Breathless.’
