Italic Definition

Generally, the term Italic refers to the people and cultures of ancient Italy. Italic also refers to a particular style of writing which is used on a Renaissance script where the letters slants towards the right side. This writing style was first used by the Italian printer Aldus Manutius in 1501 to give special emphasis for the words or sentences.
