Harker Definition

Harker pottery was made by Harker Pottery Company of East Liverpool, Ohio. The company was later moved to Virginia. The earliest pottery were the yellow ware made by the company during the Civil War. Dinnerware designed by Russel Wright was another product line by Harker. The company was incorporated in 1890 and went out of business in 1972. Harker pottery is often referred to as oldest pottery in America.
