Fulper Definition

Fulper in the context of antiques refers to the pottery produced by the Fulper Pottery Company, New Jersey. The pottery had rich color blended glazes. The 'Fulper Pottery Art ware' had Spanish and English themes featured. 'Fulper Porcelains' had powder jars, ashtrays and dresser boxes in its product line. The 'Germ-proof Filter' which can be considered as a forerunner of today's water cooler also became a popular product. The most famous Fulper pottery is the solid-color dinnerware known as 'Fulper Fayence'.
