Fiberglass Definition

Fiberglass consists of very fine fibers of glass combined in yarn. The term also refers to material made by strengthening fiberglass with synthetic resin. Fiberglass is heat resistant and used in insulations. Fiberglass is used for making boat hulls and is an important component of fiber optics.
