Fairings Definition

In relation to antiques, ‘fairings’ are used to refer to small memento of china boxes and decorative figurines that were sold during country fairs in the nineteenth century. The decorations on these fairings were amusing, included fantastic designs, and were unsophisticated.  The work and the designs were mostly inspired from the various interesting cultural aspects of the Victorian era. Majority of these fairings were manufactured in Germany. Fairings were very popular till the beginning of the First World War. We can see cute fairings in different colors.
