Draftsman is an artist who draws sketches/plans/designs of buildings, machines etc. In ancient times, draftsmen used to make sketches using a drawing table and tools such as T square, triangles, compasses, and French curves. However, with the current technology draftsmen do their work digitally using computers. Draftsmen are basically artists specialized in technical drawing. They are also called drafters or draughtsman.
