Dolmen Definition

Dolmen is an ancient Neolithic structure that consists of two or more straight stones which balance a horizontal flat stone upon them. We can see dolmens right from the Stone Age. There are both simple and complex structures of dolmen. These stones were found mainly in Britain and France. It is also known as a portal tomb, cromlech, portal grave, or quoit.
