Direct Casting Definition

Direct casting is a method of casting in which the shape of model or the mold is lost once the casting is done. This kind of casting is called a lost wax casting wherein, the model may be hollow and the material usually wax which is to be attained the shape of mold is poured into the model to get its shape. But the material usually wax fills the model fully and the wall of model makes a thin layer around the figure which is made out of it.
