Colorblindness Definition

Color blindness refers to a deficiency in color vision with difficulty in distinguishing certain colors. The cones located in the center of the retina contains light sensitive pigments with varying ranges. The ability to see the colors depends upon the sensitivity of the pigments in the cones. Color blindness may take forms of protanomaly or red- weakness, deuteranomaly or green weak, dichromasy or the difficulty in distinguishing red, orange, yellow and green.
