Catalyst Definition

A catalyst is a substance that triggers or speeds up the chemical reaction in other materials without itself undergoing any change.   Catalysts are widely used in resin sculptures to harden resin..The catalyst reacts with an accelerator (that is normally added in advance to resin) which generates heat and starts the hardening process.
